Today we're rolling out the Bindplane AI Skill, a built-in capability of the Bindplane CLI (v1.98+) that teaches your favorite AI coding tool how to work with Bindplane — natively, accurately, and without the setup headaches of traditional integrations.

What It Is

The Bindplane AI Skill is a lightweight knowledge file that ships inside the Bindplane CLI. With a single command, it installs into the AI tool of your choice and gives that tool everything it needs to manage your telemetry pipelines on your behalf.

Use a prompt in your favorite AI coding assistant. Here’s a prompt I ran today:

No tool schemas or MCP servers. It ran bindplane get agents, saw 125+ lines, and immediately pivoted to filtering by status and grouping by count.

The final output:

• 9,987 connected
• 9 in error (same upgrade failure across all nine)
• 4 disconnected

It flagged the likely cause and suggested the next two commands to investigate further, without being asked.
